Eastern Eye Restaurant Awards

Asian Media Group [AMG], publisher of Eastern Eye, has announced its inaugral Eastern Eye Restaurant Awards, which will take place in central London in June.

The awards will specifically celebrate the resilience and cultural impact of South Asian restaurants in Britain, focusing on family-run establishments and community staples, recognising family-run kitchens, street stalls, and neighbourhood restaurants that sustain local jobs and communities, rather than just fine dining venues.

Award catergoies are for the best: Indian, Chinese, Thai, Sri Lankan, Pan Asian restaurants; plus others for Chef, Gastro Pub, Sustainability, Caterer, New Opening, and Innovator, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Established since 1989, Eastern Eye is a prominent weekly newspaper dedicated to the British Asian community, widely considered the leading publication for South Asian news, culture, and lifestyle in the UK.

It is known for compiling annual annoucements of the Asian Rich List and GG2 Power List, which rank the community’s most influential figures.

AMG also hosts the Asian Business Awards, Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre Awards, GG2 Leadership & Diversity Awards and publishs trade titles such as Pharmacy Business, Asian Trader, and Vape Business.
