Rohit Ghai to open Yatra in Saudi

Chef Rohit Ghai is set to make his Saudi Arabia debut with the launch of Yatra (meaning journey in Sanskrit) at The Oberoi Sukoon Villas in Diriyah. The restaurant is scheduled to open in late 2026 and marks the chef’s first culinary venture in the Kingdom. Known for his work across London’s fine dining restaurants, Chef Rohit Ghai will bring a menu inspired by India’s ancient spice routes, featuring regional Indian dishes that reflect his culinary journey and experience.

Located at The Oberoi Sukoon Villas, Yatra will focus on showcasing India’s diverse culinary traditions through a refined dining experience. The concept is said to have drawn inspiration from the country’s regional cuisines and historic trade routes that helped shaped Indian gastronomy over centuries.

The launch also marks an expansion of premium Indian dining offerings within Saudi Arabia’s hospitality landscape as Diriyah continues to emerge as a key luxury tourism and lifestyle destination. With its opening Yatra will become Chef Rohit Ghai’s first restaurant in Saudi Arabia, adding another international culinary collaboration to The Oberoi Sukoon Villas’ hospitality portfolio.
