Indian street food franchise Chaiiwala has partnered with Roadchef Services for its first kiosk concept using a shipping containers.

Co-founder Sohail Ali said the design, which now operates at the Watford Gap northbound services on the M1, “Offers a compact and innovative way to enjoy our beloved Indian street food and chai.

Chaiiwala claimed the UK’s first Indian street food drive-thru in 2023. The brand followed this last year by launching airport and university campus locations. It is also gearing up for US expansion – having previously launched in Canada and the Middle East and sees the potential for more than 1,000 stores there plus 400 in the UK.

Chaiiwala currently has a worldwide estate of 126 stories, including 106 in the UK.
