Chennai Express opened its doors in November 2018 when chef-patrons, Sagar Barlawar and Vamsi Madireddy began their new venture offering authentic South Indian Street food, for which they had been forced to travel to north-west London to enjoy.
Originally from Hyderabad in southern India, an area known for its street food and biryanis, Sagar and Vamsi who gradauated in Catering Technology and Culinary Arts from Osmania University. The pair completed their training at Taj and Oberoi hotels.
The menu features lassic dishes drawn from the best of South Indian cuisine, taken from each of five states of South India. A brigade of regional chefs also deliver a selection of North Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes.
Diners receive authentic experience, with freshly ground spices and food prepared in an open kitchen.
