Simeron Lily Patel and former Gymkhana head chef Sanjay Gour are expanding the Kokum Indian restaurant they opened in East Dulwich in 2023 – with a new bar, lounge, terrace and expansion into all-day dining.

Lily Patel said she would consider any further locations for Dastaan and Black Salt if the locations “really make sense,” and that her dream is to expand Kokum and build it into a “really well-known brand over time,” but warned that, “hospitality is still quite unpredictable at the moment, so we don’t want to rush into expanding.

Patel says that the there are constantly ideas floating around in my head and would like to open a chai shop and a Mayfair restaurant.
