Royal Nawab, Stockport Pyramid, Mahboob Hussain, Channel 4,

Mega restaurant The Royal Nawaab in Stockport is to feature in an hour-long Channel 4 fly-on-the-wall documentary entiled, ‘The World’s Biggest Curry Restaurant’.

Located inside the Stockport Pyramid, in Greater Manchester, it has space for upto 1500 diners.

Built in 1992, originally intended to be part of a wider development that involved a number of pyramid-shaped buildings nicknamed “Stockport’s Valley of the Kings”, it remained unoccupied for a number of years until 2023, due to contractural issues.

Royal Nawaab, owned by Mahboob Hussain, invested £15m investment, to open in April 2025 , following a massive refurbishment.

The show will air on Channel 4 at 8:00pm on Friday 22nd May.
