Asian & Oriental Chef Awards – finalists announced

The winner of this year’s Asian & Oriental Chef Awards will be feted at the Asian Catering Federation’s event programme launch at the House of Lords on Thursday, 17th July

The winner will be decided from 9 finalists who will take part in a live cook-off event at the training kitchen at the Pillars Restaurant, University of West London in Ealing on Monday 23rd June.

The finalists are:

• Chef Arup Dasgupta (Euphoria in Crayford)
• Chef Ravindra Singh Rawat (Namak in South Woodford)
• Chef Arjun Khanal (Chor Baazaar in Slough)
• Chef Jamal Uddin Ahmed ( Humayra in Sittingbourne)
• Chef Ellen Rahman (Gateway of India in Cardiff)
• Chef Rozario (Gateway of India in Cardiff)
• Chef Purusan Malla (Panas Gurkha in Blackheath)
• Chef Alex Boyd (Kumquat in Tunbridge Wells)
• Chef Dev Biswal (The Cook’s Tale in Canterbury)

Commenting on the standard of entries, Yawar Khan, co chairman of the Asian Catering Federation said; “We are delighted to see the return of this prestigious industry award which celebrates the UK’s best Asian and oriental food chefs working in the hospitality industry today.”

The House of Lords event will also see the public nomination processof its various other acolades: Asian Restaurant Awards in Manchester in September and the following month in Glasgow, as well as the Asian Curry Awards in November

Also being announced at the House of Lords will be details of the Top 100 Curry Restaurants Guide 2025 www.top100curryrestaurants.co.uk.  

All ACF awards are open to professional chefs, restaurants and takeaways specialising in Asian and Oriental cuisine including Bangladeshi, Burmese, Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Middle Eastern, Pakistani, Singaporean, Sri Lankan, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese.
